The forecast predicted mostly cloudy skies. Regardless, I took the chance and made my way into the wilderness. I geared up for the cold night. Interestingly, the Aurora seemed really dim, but after a single exposure I realized why -- the predominant color was pink, which is significantly more muted than the greens. I setup for some scenic silhouettes and captured this scene which appears as wings about 2:00 AM.
