Emerald Dawn

I arose at 4:45 in the morning with my son, and we rushed to this pre-determined area to capture the sun as it dawned over Emerald Bay. From this perspective we capture California in the foreground and Nevada in the distance. We glanced from several spots before selecting this one --- The smooth water, with Fannette Island centered in the bay, with the flowing river far below --- they felt to be the perfect spot to capture the rays of the sun shining down over the distant horizon!
