I visited Acadia National Park for the first time with high hopes of catching peak color. Many folks I have chatted with over the years talked up the area, and therefore the anticipation built up for several months. My arrival was not disappointing, and during the week-long visit the colors continued to change. This location was on my last full day in the park, and this scene was pure magic.... The rich, blue sky with low-rolling white clouds, the lily pads, the draping leaves and the draping grass, and of course the mirror-like reflective lake. All seemed to come together and the anticipation of the week culminated in one marvelous scene.
