Winter storms in southern Utah are always a treat, as they cover the traditionally barren sandstone surfaces with snow. On this particular morning, I heard there was a storm that passed through Zion, and jumped in the car for the 5-hour drive to the area. This was my first stop, knowing beforehand what I wanted to capture. I setup the tripod and captured this panorama of the scene that seemed magical, melting snow on the cliffs named for the biblical Patriarchs.
