No Escape

After darting through clouds and turbulence, we landed on the lake, and our chartered flight parked on the beach. We tied down, packed up our gear, and headed up off the beach. We were not there longer than one minute, then we turned around to discover a bear had already put himself between us and the airplane. There was no escape. This is genuine, wild Alaska.
