Winter sunrise at Towers of the Virgin, a majestic view found among a trail meandering up from the Zion Human History Museum. The Altar of Sacrifice is more than evident in this shot, resting high above the canyon floor at 7,505 feet (2,288 m). The towers in this mountain formation create a semi-circle from West Temple to The Sentinel. Morning light brings amazing highlights to these peaks, which reflect incredible light throughout the canyon and onto the valley floor.
