Lone Windmill
Kinderdijk is an amazing village to visit in The Netherlands. The site has 19 windmills (or molens) within a relatively small area. Notwithstanding the large concentration of molens in this area, this shot focused on this solitary, lone windmill. With the exception of a few ducks meandering in the water, the water was undisturbed, providing a beautiful reflection! Kinderdijk means "children dike." The windmills were first erected about 1740.
