Moonlit Mesa
++ Image featured in the Bighorn Gallery at Dead Horse Point State Park September 2, 2015 through February 29, 2016 ++
It is nearly impossible to capture a unique composition of Mesa Arch. Admittedly you can capture different meteorological conditions, but I wanted something different. A fellow photographer mentioned the concept of performing long exposures under moonlight. A great idea, as up to that moment I had yet to see a night shot of Mesa Arch. "Will I get the underside glow of the arch from the moonlight?" I wondered. We had to try. We were further treated by a layer of winter fog in the valley below, creating a beautiful mood for the adventure. It was a winner.
