Although family joined me on my adventure to Grand Teton National Park last summer, I meandered to Oxbow Bend for sunrise on my own. I saw several other photographers that morning, yet each talked so little, permitting a peaceful experience.
About an hour after capturing this shot, I saw several autos stopping nearby on the highway. I could not see what they were staring at, so kept my guard up in case I met a surprise. Sure enough, in the water immediately in front of me were two bears, swimming across the Snake River. All I can say is this.... bears can swim fast! Unfortunately I only had my 24-120mm on, so did not bother taking any shots, but it was an adventure all on its own!
