I visited Colorado with fellow photographer, Dustin LeFevre, for a couple days of shooting in Rocky Mountain National Park, my first visit to this magical place. We hoped our visit would be timed accurately to get some fall color and perhaps see a dusting of snow. Although no fall color is seen in the image, our hopeful snow arrived, and we captured some beautiful imagery. I visualized this image a couple days earlier, hoping a morning glow would highlight the foreground, while keeping a distant background obscured. It was exactly what I wanted!
