Fading Light

As the sun sets each night, the sandstone cliffs around Lake Powell light up the valley with an incredible glow. The reflection on the water brings out yellows, oranges, and red. As sunset progresses, the tones change more to pastels, and the blues turn a deep, rich color, creating scenes that are impossible to believe, unless one sees for oneself. The foreground captured here is a part of Gunsight Bay, while the bay in the background is Labyrinth. The immediate foreground is Utah, while the background is Arizona.

This is a unique panoramic winter view, as the cliffs are still covered in snow, as pictured throughout the scene.
