In spring I hiked alone up the trail to this wondrous location in the Columbia River Gorge. The air was cold, rain fell gently, and the waterfall spray was excessive. The result was a very difficult shooting session. Regardless, the experience was extraordinary. Since I had forgotten my boots, I carefully made my way to the center of the river, using rocks and trees to get to this vantage point. I took my time setting up the composition I wanted, then click.
