Awaiting

I came across this scene around mid-day, and sat there awaiting the right light, watching the sun sink down on the horizon over the California side of the lake, inch by inch, until it gently touched the rocks. Once there, I began madly snapping the shutter release, trying to capture the contrast between the warm skies and cool tone and motion of the roaring waves! A great end to a marvelous day!
