Crescent
At the close of an evening shooting sunset in Arches, I knew it was a night to be on the lookout for the crescent moon. As I approached Balanced Rock, timing for the opportunity was perfect! I prepped my gear with a telephoto lens, sprinted to the top of a hill, and captured the end of twilight, with the waxing moon. What a magnificent moment. And then I realized my mistake... I had to find my way back to the car in the desert... without a flashlight. It was worth it!
