Les Braves is a memorial designed by artist, Anilore Banon, on Omaha Beach, constructed to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the D-Day invasion on 6th June 1944, a monument to remember the ultimate sacrifice. The memorial represents three elements: wings of hope, rise freedom, and wings of fraternity. The memorial was intended to be a temporary piece; however it still stands on the shores of Normandy.
