Rainbow

The traditional Wave image is taken in the main corridor; however my preferred locations to shoot are in the side alleys, as in this one. Light changes significantly through the day, and even throughout the year. During winter months and the earlier hours of the day the lighting tends to be more cool, as the sun is lower on the horizon, providing ample opportunities to capture a full rainbow of color.

The trailhead to The Wave begins in Utah at the Wire Pass Trailhead, and wanders some 3 miles into Arizona. This feature is just inside the Arizona side of the border.
