Gem
It is always a challenge to capture summer wildflowers in the Wasatch Mountains for one reason... there are a myriad of destination choices. Each day you select a spot, hoping it produces the best light.
On this particular day, the sky was overcast, and the distant western horizon showed possibility of clouds breaking up. As a result, my wife and I jumped in the Jeep and traveled to a favorite local spot for a short hike. Only a few minutes on the trail we discovered this gem. The sunlight shone down, highlighting all the edges of the wildflowers and grass. There was no need to continue shooting, as I knew I had my favorite shot of the day.
