Color and Texture
Some may think relaxation is the first thing that comes to mind when visiting a beach, but not so for me! The first word in my mind... *composition* Without composition an everyday beach is lost in a photograph, and as such I scouted this beach for hours, looking for a vantage point that captured its beauty, magnificence, and uniqueness. It was then I discovered three tidal pools that shone a brilliant yellow, contrasting against the entire landscape of blue, green, and white. As I was shooting at low tide, I discovered these tidal pools nestled on a rock ledge, just out of reach of the torrential high tide, yet close enough to receive spray from each crashing wave, thereby creating pools in which plant life was sustained. Instantly I was in love with the scene and there created a moment where the rock ledge framed the underwater reef perfectly. Photography is such a splendid art form, and I lose myself in each shot!
